Control and Effective Dynamics
Designing controls for complex stochastic systems through low-dimensional models.
I investigate how effective dynamics can make control of high-dimensional stochastic systems more tractable. The idea is to describe the system through a few reaction coordinates, design feedback in this reduced space, and apply it to the full dynamics. This project studies how the choice of coordinates and the error introduced by model reduction affect the resulting control.
